US-based pen maker Reynolds’ Indian licensee GM Pens International has decided to go solo and plans to become a global player with its own Rorito brand. GM Pens International, established in 1995, has grown to become the leader in the writing instruments segment and now has announced its own brand Rorito, complimented by the tag line ‘Write the New’! Rorito, a global brand with partners from around the world like Schneider (Germany) as technology partner on product design and development and many more global experts, aims to access the latest International trends in writing instruments and offer world class products at Indian prices.

“With Reynolds, we had certain territorial restrictions and we were allowed to operate only in India and other SAARC countries. We thought it was high time that we become a global player than a regional or country-based player,” GM Pens International joint managing director Indrakumar Mahendran told PTI last month.

Rorito enters the market with an expansive product range including categories like the ball pens, retractable range, CD & DVD markers, permanent markers, highlighters, correction pens, white board markers, fountain pens, glue stick and lead pencils.

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar will be the brand ambassador of the new brand – Rorito.

GM Pens International has deftly captured the very essence of cutting technology in a pen, as the new product represents a global, smart and technological expertise, catering to the modern generations. With a prominent industry presence of over twenty years, the company has redefined the very way writing instruments are perceived in the country. GM Pens International has invested substantially in building up a large manufacturing base with sprawling facilities in Chennai and Pondicherry.
