The stage is set as we are ready to rock! The much-loved film – Rock On – starring Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli as angst-ridden musicians is finally ready with a sequel and its first poster landed on Friday morning. The film’s sequel, which was shot majorly in Shillong, has new faces Shraddha Kapoor and Titli actor Shashank Arora.
Shraddha Kapoor shared the Rock On 2 poster. The actress who is all set to rock wrote: “Here it is!!! Finding my voice… With the new ‘MAGIK’ @bootshujaat @faroutakhtar @rampal72 @purab_kohli @shashanksunnyarora #RockOn2Poster #ReliveTheMagik.”
The poster is appealing and it is expected that the film will bring some ‘magik’ as the poster claims. But, fans from the Northeast who were waiting to get a glimpse of Shillong in the poster will have to wait a bit longer as the first poster released on Friday didn’t have any mention of the Scotland of the East. The film is set to release on November 11, which the poster informs along with film’s tagline, “Every generation finds its voice.”
Just like Rock On, this part too is expected to be another roller-coaster ride of friendship and emotions. In the poster, Farhan looks all set to enthral us with his majestic voice again. One cannot miss Arjun. He looks hot in that candid pose. Well, to see Shraddha singing on-screen will also be interesting.
Shraddha Kapoor had really prepped hard for Rock On 2 in terms of singing and has also learnt piano as a part of preparations. She will be seen singing in the film, as will Farhan. If you remember Rock On and Pichle Saat Dino Mein from the first film, this sounds like a veritable feast of music.

Rock On introduced Farhan Akhtar, the actor, to the audience who charmed all not only with his acting but with his singing skills too. This movie was an evergreen cult which ruled people’s playlists and gave the youth some serious band goals! He easily glided from playing a super cool, much-loved rock star into a sharp and focused businessman with complete ease.
