American bike manufacturer UM Motorcycles made its entry into the Northeast India market on January 19 with its dealership in Guwahati in association with along with Lohia Auto.

The dealership, located at TN Tower in Maligaon, was inaugurated by CEO at UML Rajeev Mishra. The dealership is spread over a total of 750 sq. ft.

“The Northeast market contributes to as much as 35% of the total two-wheeler segment in India. Hence, it was imperative that we expand our footprint in this region. This is our first dealership in Northeast India and we plan to have a presence in each of the seven sister states in future. We are confident that we will get a good response from motorcycle enthusiasts in Guwahati and surrounding areas,” said Rajeev Mishra, CEO at UML.

Elaborating further, director at Luit Auto Kishor Jain said, “It’s an honour for us to be a partner with UM Motorcycles. Guwahati has a rich motorcycling culture and after riding the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sports S, I am sure that all bikers who prefer cruisers will opt for our products without a single second thought.  As representatives of UM Motorcycles, we shall ensure all customers are pampered with the luxurious UM experience.”
