Guwahati: Buying medicines in the Northeast just got easier! Make a phone call to 8822-555-555 and you can get convenient and cheaper medication delivered at your doorsteps as Guwahati’s very first e-pharmacy startup, DawaiLo.com formally announced their operations across the region recently. The e-pharmacy, with a product list of more than 1 lakh products, completed four months of operations in Guwahati this March and announced their expansion across Northeast India.
Commenting on the launch, Dawailo.com founders Pankaj Maheshwari and Abhimanyu Modi expressed their satisfaction that the beta phase of testing since last three months boosted them to start operations across the region. “We believe that Northeast India is one of the most important markets and are still untapped. In the interiors of the region, we see the patients taking alternative medicines just because the prescribed ones are not readily available with the local pharmacists. This experience led us to believe that this is not just a business we are operating, but also a service that is unmatched which ensures availability, quality and ease of procurement for anyone in the region. And the good news is that we already have delivered medicines to many clients in the Indian metros and will soon go national,” said Pankaj Maheshwari, a law graduate.
Having helped the country’s top e-commerce companies in setting-up their warehouses in Guwahati, childhood friends Pankaj Maheshwari and Abhimanyu Modi came together and formed Dawailo.com which have now serviced more than 1,000 happy customers in a span of 3 months. “Since inception we knew that the first thing we need to build is trust – in terms of quality of products and also the service provided. For this, we devised 10 pointers which we call the DawaiLo.com pointers to ensure quality and customer satisfaction. Strict prescription based orders is one of our priority. We have set-up many touch points. Now a customer can reach us 24×7 through calls, WhatsApp and the highly secure HTTPS website. We are adding more entry points like a mobile application and doctor-on-call facility to help our customers get the best facilities easily,” said Abhimanyu Modi who is a computer applications graduate.
The Dawailo.com pointers for quality and service includes, proper filing of client details, telephonic reminder system, strict prescription based orders, website with 264bit SSCL certified (highest security level) HTTPS connection, proper invoicing which leads to tax exemption, availability of maximum number of products, use of latest technology, being user friendly, home delivery and discounts.
The startup also showcased their best-in-class packaging of products. Ice-box packaging is done for medicines which require storage below room temperature. The startup mentioned about various customer satisfaction feedback they got for their innovative packaging.
Commenting on the future plans, the startup said that under the Dawailo.com banner they will soon start facilities like doctor consultancy and appointments, lab testing and diagnostic centre appointments. “These best-in-class facilities to top-up with home delivery of medicines will definitely lead to healthcare reform,” commented team Dawailo.com
