Effective July 17, low-cost carrier AirAsia India announced operating a third direct flight connecting New Delhi and Guwahati

Low-cost carrier AirAsia India announced the introduction of an additional flight connecting Guwahati and New Delhi. Effective July 17, 2016, AirAsia India started operating a third direct flight connecting the two destinations. With the addition of these flights, AirAsia India will now operate 40 daily flights connecting 10 destinations across India.

Commenting on the development, CEO at AirAsia India Amar Abrol said, “This third frequency connecting New Delhi and Guwahati is an extension of our existing strategy that will cater to the market demand for the coming season. Reinforcing our commitment towards making air travel affordable, the increase in frequency of flights is designed to cater to business and leisure travelers who are constantly on the lookout for convenient and comfortable flying options.  We remain committed to growing our footprint in India.”

AirAsia is a leading low-cost carrier in Asia, servicing a network of over 100 destinations. Within 14 years of operations, AirAsia has carried over 26,300 million guests and grown its fleet from just two aircraft to over 170.
