BYST-CII Entrepreneurship Development Project in partnership with the Assm government under the employment generation mission (EGM) organized an “entrepreneurship meet” at Natya Mandir, Nalbari.

The meet highlighted focused session on entrepreneurial opportunities in Nalbari and inspire the youth to kindle an interest in them to embrace entrepreneurship. The conference showcased BYST entrepreneurs’ products and also witnessed motivational talks and experience sharing. The special session on entrepreneurial opportunities in Nalbari was addressed by BYST mentor Sanjeev Kakoti, entrepreneur Nipen Das among others. More than 600 audience from the entrepreneurial eco-system participated at the function.

BYST was set up in 1992 with a mission of converting underserved job seekers in rural and urban areas into job creators. Inspired by The Prince of Wales and the Prince’s Trust, UK, BYST set up in 1992, has been driving collaboration and building linkages within the local communities in Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Odisha and Assam. Since inception, BYST Assam has reached out to youths in the districts of Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Rural, Darrang, Nagaon, Morigaon, Sibsagar, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Majuli, Golaghat and Tinsukia and created more than 900 entrepreneurs who have contributed to creation of more than 14,000 employment opportunities. BYST is now extending its support to Nalbari & Barpeta districts.
