Regarded as the fittest cricketer in the circuit, India’s Test captain Virat Kohli’s fitness mantra is simple – #NeverStop. His fitness chain, Chisel, too believes in giving the best and ‘keep working hard’ towards a fit and healthy lifestyle. On Sunday, Chisel gym and fitness centre, situated near Dighalipukhuri in Guwahati, organised a one-day cricket tournament keeping in tune with Kohli’s outdoor fitness mantra.

The 6-teams, 11-a-team, 6-overs-a-side, tennis ball tournament, played at the Latashil ground saw participation from both men and women. “Chisel Fitness LLP and Virat Kohli believe in the common mantra #NeverStop. Be it respecting your body and fitness levels or following a strong sense of discipline and commitment in everything you do. These outdoor activities help our members break the monotony of regular workout at the gym and hence are a great way to reenergise oneself for the day-to-day activities,” said Chisel Dighalipukhuri franchise owner Bhaskarjyoti Das.

“Recently, we organised a power yoga and zumba session and after this cricket tournament, we are planning a badminton tournament in January. We will organise at least one outdoor activity every month,” he added.

Chisel, co owned by Virat Kohli, is a very fast growing multi gym across all major cities in India. By the year end, Chisel will be opening at around 10 centers across India with the Dighalipukhuri branch in Guwahati being the 5th center of its kind, and the very first in the Northeast.

Chisel Dighalipukhuri, opened in August this year, provides a wide range of training programs to its clients starting from normal gym facilities which includes cardio and strength fitness programs to various other programs such as Bolly-fusion, ABS blast, circuit training, zumba, power yoga, Lesmills, etc. as group classes to its clients. Apart from that, Chisel side by side lays much more importance on outdoor fitness.

“The main objective of Chisel Dighalipukhuri is to open up to those people who believe that a gym is only for the fitness freaks. We want you to believe that being fit should be everyone’s mantra — be it a 15-year-old or a 65-year-old. By conducting various group classes every week and outdoor events, we are trying our best to make sure that ‘going to a gym is never a boring thing’. With the new-age lifestyle diseases, it is important for everyone to take up fitness as a necessity of life and we are here to make that all the more interesting,” said Chisel Dighalipukhuri franchise owner Bhaskarjyoti Das.
