Bulgaria keen to invest in Assam’s pharma sector

Bulgarian firms are keen to invest in Assam, especially in the pharma sector. Ambassador of Bulgaria to India, Petko Doykov in a meeting with Assam industries and commerce minister Chandra Mohan Patowary said that the country is looking to invest in Assam and he was looking for exploring areas of investment.

During the meeting, Patowary assured the Bulgarian ambassador of full cooperation and support to facilitate their investment in the eastern state. The minister added that the current business environment in the state is investment-friendly and conducive with a healthy industrial ecosystem all around.

Doykov, while stating that Bulgaria has the highest GDP among the EU nations generating the highest income from the services sector, expressed his keenness in fostering economic bilateral relationships between the two nations in which Northeast figures prominently.
