Why water bottles sold at a cinema hall, a shopping mall, airports and regular shops have different MRP even though they are of the same quantity and same brand? It may vary from Rs 15 to Rs 50 depending on where you buy the bottle from. In a welcoming development, Union minister of food and public distribution Ram Vilas Paswan informed that mineral water bottles from now on will be sold at a uniform price across the country.

The minister informed that companies can no longer mention different MRPs for the same bottle of water depending on the place of selling. The ministry came across several complaints regarding companies selling mineral water bottles on different prices in hotels, airports, and malls.

This is a big respite considering that summer season has already set in and it is going to affect the major part of the country in coming months.
