The introductory early-bird price of a season ticket for FIFA U-17 World Cup matches in Guwahati is Rs 480. The early-bird tickets are now available.

The local organizers disclosed that the price of a season ticket for all matches in Kolkata, including the final on October 28, is Rs 480. The season tickets are available since Tuesday at an early-bird discount of “about 60%”.

For Guwahati, which will host 9 matches, the season ticket rate starts at Rs 480 for the North and South stands at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.

Season tickets are available in denominations of Rs 480, Rs 960 and Rs 1,920 in Guwahati and Kolkata. The West stands cost Rs 960 for the season while the season ticket for the main stand will be Rs 1920. The tickets for the main stand weren’t available as yet.

Guwahati will host nine matches including one round-of-16 match, one quarter final and a semi final. The Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium at the Sarusajai Sporting Complex in Guwahati will be the home to group E during the tournament.

Tournament director Javier Ceppi said the discount was unheard of in a FIFA World Cup. “You can actually see a World Cup final in less than Rs 50, when you’re buying it for 10 matches. It’s amazing,” he said.

The ticket sales started on Tuesday at 19:11, as a tribute to the Mohun Bagan players who had recorded a historic win over Britain’s East Yorkshire Regiment in the IFA Shield final in 1911. The FIFA U-17 World Cup will be held in India from October 6-28.
