NPS International School has offered a scholarship of Rs 2.5 lakh to Partha Pratim Bhuyan for securing first position in the recently declared HSLC examination, conducted by SEBA, during the achievers day celebrations of the school on June 25.

Handing over the cheque to Partha, now a student of class XI (science) of NPS International School, satradhikar of Auniati Satra Pitambar Dev Goswami also felicitated Partha’s parents during the programme.  In his speech, Goswami lauded the effort of NPS International School for providing scholarship to such students.

“I would also like to thank the management of NPS International School for such a humble initiative. This will definitely encourage students like Partha to move ahead in life,” he said. Stressing on the need of a holistic education system for overall development of the country, Goswami also advocated for the need of inclusion of spiritual education in the modern education system.

Participating in the programme as chief guest, DGP (law and order), Assam Police Kuladhar Saikia congratulated the achievers from the school during the year 2016-17.

Students, parents, teachers and the alumni members of the school took part in the achievers day celebration where school achievers along with their parents were felicitated during the programme. Laptops, plaques, smartphones and certificates were also distributed among the achievers.

Later in the evening, the Brahmaputra auditorium of the school lit up with a colourful line of impressive performances produced by different sections of students.

Founder and chairman of the school JN Das, along with school principal Probhati Biswas, also spoke during the programme.
