Manipur youth Monish Karam who won $40,000 from Facebook to develop an application last year, has signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government to provide a platform for the students and workers seeking skill development and employment.

Karam’s Jobsenz, an education-technology startup based in Singapore, will be targeting to share its services to at least 5 lakh job seekers in AP in the next three years.

“We will work to improve the skills of the youth undergoing skill development training in Andhra Pradesh so that they may be more likely to be employed. The company shall act as the technology platform for all students and workers seeking skill development and employment in Andhra Pradesh,” Karam told The News Mill.

Jobsenz’s online platform shall have a feature called MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) which shall create and impart skill development courses by ITIs and training institutes across the state.

Karam further said that he would be happy to collaborate with Northeast states in a similar way to help the students and youths.

Earlier, Karam received an entrepreneurship award while studying for his MBA at the National University of Singapore and IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
