Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal urged the students to work hard to build their career and develop positive outlook in a bid to groom their personality. Sonowal made this call while interacting with the students of Kumar Bhaskar Varma University of Sanskrit and Ancient Studies and Tamulpur Commerce College in the Central Hall of Assam Legislative Assembly on Monday.

Organized by the Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat as an exposure programme for students of the educational institutions of the state, Sonowal called upon the students to take active part in the youth led development initiatives in the nation.

The chief minister advised the students to share the Assembly experience with their classmates and convene mock parliament in colleges to enhance their leadership qualities. He also asked the students to utilize the platform of mock parliament to discuss about the problems and issues of neighbouring areas and come up with innovative solutions.

Expressing hope that the exposure visit would be a great learning experience for the students, the chief minister asked them to take the message of the Assembly experience to their respective institutions. “Democracy becomes vibrant when the youth become acquainted with the basic tenets of democracy and reflect the sense of unity, harmony and brotherhood in their actions”, Sonowal said.
