Zubeen Garg, whose latest movie is all set to break records in Assamese film industry, has tendered an apology after he ‘misbehaved’ with a senior defense personnel at Delhi airport.
The popular singer-actor on Wednesday said that it was entirely unintentional and nothing was meant seriously and he loves Indian Army.
“I have seen adverse reactions on my recent comments at the airport. Some people are arguing it to be a defamation of the dignity of Indian army. It was entirely unintentional and nothing was meant seriously! I love Indian Army and people who follow my activities can trace various events where I was involved to pay my tribute to these people who never compromise with the integrity and security of our country,” Zubeen wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
He also said that his latest film ‘Mission China’ is an expression of his desire to be a part of the Indian Army.
“Anyway I have realized that somehow or other I have hurt the sentiments of Indian Army and I would sincerely like to apologise for that. I am so passionate about army that I made Mission China as an expression of my hidden desire to be a part of it! Love and respect for them!” Zubeen who draws a huge fan following across the region added.
Earlier, in Delhi airport, Zubeen had an argument with a former defense personnel over his colonel hat which he was wearing. This drew serious reactions on social media.
Meanwhile, ‘Mission China’ has been able to run full houses since its release across the country in more than 55 halls. ‘Mission China’ is probably the first Assamese film to release simultaneously in six states including in Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya besides home state Assam. It was also screened in Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi and Bangalore.
