NorthEast United FC will look to regroup and make a fresh start as they take on Delhi Dynamos in their second away game of the Hero Indian Super League 2017-18 season.

After their last training session in Guwahati before they flew to New Delhi for the away game, NeUFC defender Nirmal Chettri told the media that the team is trying to learn from their mistakes and asked the fans to keep their faith.

Here are some of the excerpts from the interview:

Q. How is the team preparing for the next match?

We have been working hard as a unit. We need forget what has happened and just keep ourselves positive, learn from the mistakes and make a strong comeback.

Q. Any thoughts on your next opposition Delhi Dynamos?

Both the teams (NEUFC and DD) are coming back from a loss, both of us will be hungry to play well and make a comeback. It is going to be very tough and a hard fought match in New Delhi

Q. What remains your target for the away trip and the season?

We are looking at things from a match by match perspective. All we know now is to work hard, learn from mistakes and win the next match. Overall our objectives remain to help the team qualify for the playoffs.

Q. How do you see the support of the fans? Any message to the Highlander brigade?

I know it’s tough to be a fan when the team is not doing well, but this is the time we need you to support us and help us stage a comeback. Calling upon all NEUFC fans in New Delhi to come and roar for the Highlanders!

The Northeast side will take on Delhi Dynamos on December 2. They play their next home game at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai, Guwahati on December 8.
