The news of a single mother pulling a mobile kiosk in search of customers in Bokakhat caught the attention of popular Assam singer Angaraag Papon Mahanta. The singer tweeted to the Assam CM’s office as well as tagged chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal for help. Papon also tweeted the contact information of Mamoni Das (55), a resident of Rajabari village in Bokakhat, who was seen pulling a mobile kiosk in a viral photograph.

On Thursday, Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma replied to Papon’s tweet that the Assam government is going to offer a soft bank loan without mortgrage to start her own business. “I spoke to her. Will provide her a soft bank loan without mortgage to start her own business,” the Assam finance minister tweeted.

The Assam minister was replying to the tweet by Papon which read: “Dear Sir @sarbanandsonwal, Can you advice your office to set up something easier for her? Collected her daughter’s number & it is 8011455810. Hoping to get a reply. @CMOfficeAssam”.
