Assam governor Jagdish Mukhi assured a delegation of Kagajkal Majdoor Sangh of taking its demand to the Centre for the revival of Nagaon Paper Mill at Jagiroad in Morigaon district.

The four-member delegation representing Kagajkal Majdoor Sangh of Jagiroad Paper Mill, a unit of Hindustan Paper Corporation, met the Governor at Raj Bhavan in Guwahati last week and submitted a memorandum and sought his intervention for the revival of the paper mill.

Mukhi, while asking about the backdrop against which the paper mills in Jagiroad and Panchgram faced the closure, assured them to take the matter to the Centre to take positive actions and ensure their revival at the earliest possible time frame.
