A state-of-the-art twin tower trade centre will come up in Guwahati soon. The Assam government has signed an MoU with National Building Construction Corporation (India) Limited for setting up the twin tower trade centre in Guwahati with a project cost of Rs 1950 crore in self-financing mode.
The MoU was signed in a programme held at Assam Administrative Staff College on Friday. The iconic project will be implemented at Basistha Crossing near NH-37 with a completion period of 60 months. “The construction work of the Twin Tower will commence from July 2018 using green technologies and would reflect rich natural heritage and culture of Assam,” an official statement said.
Speaking on the occasion, Union minister of state (independent charge) of the ministry of housing and urban affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri said, “This building is not just an impressive structure but it embodies the spirit of progress, the aspirations of the youth and a world class design.”
Speaking on the occasion, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that the state government in its aim of creating an ecosystem through which state would prosper decided to build the Twin Tower Trade Centre to develop an international environment for business.
