Leaving the kiss controversy behind, popular Bollywood singer Angarag ‘Papon’ Mahanta is back to work. The singer, who spent some time away from the limelight, has taken painting as stress buster.

Making his first public appearance in Guwahati recently, the singer-composer was seen focusing on completing an Assamese video song.

“I want to forget everything and start afresh. Now, my only focus is work. I don’t want to get involved in all these unnecessary stuff. I’m happy that I have been able to concentrate on my work,” Papon said.

The singer said that he completed an Assamese song ‘Bauli Mur Priya’ which has been written and composed by Rajdweep. The song, which will be released soon, has been shot in some locations in Meghalaya. This is the title song for the play with the same name for Rajmukut Theatre.

“I’m also experimenting with painting. I have always liked painting. Now, I’m working on it. It gives me peace. At the moment, I’m not going to say much but the people will get to see some of my works soon. It will be a surprise for you all,” Papon said.

Among others, Papon’s voice will be heard in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, a biopic on Sanjay Dutt. Besides, he will also lend his voice in some of the Assamese movies after a gap.

Rajdweep, one of the popular lyricist and playwright of Assam who has earlier worked with Papon said that it’s great to be working with the singer again.

“It’s always great to work with him. Besides being a professional, Papon is also a lovely human being. Every time I work with him, I get to learn something new. I request people not to drag the controversy again but to help him so that he can gift us more beautiful songs,” said Rajdweep.
