Guwahati Foodie on September 7 organized a mini meet-up at a restaurant in Kolkata for the food lovers there who are part of the popular Facebook group.

Around 10 foodies, who are members of the Guwahati Foodie Facebook group, joined for a lunch meet at 6 Ballygunge Place in Kolkata and discussed on various topics related to food and life.

“This was a sudden plan. We came up with the mini meet-up idea and instantly around 10-12 members decided to come together at 6 Ballygunge Place. We had a good discussion on the food sector, various cuisines and life in general,” said Sisir Kumar, founder and admin of Guwahati Foodie.

Guwahati Foodie, the largest food related community in Northeast India, has been organizing various offline events – including meet and greet sessions for its members. The group recently organized the second edition of EATucation – a unique collaboration of food and education – where various industry leaders and students participated.
