Jyotishmita Baruah from Biswanath Chariali has won the title of Femina Miss India Assam and will represent the state at the Femina Miss India contest later this year. Jyotishmita, who won the title of Sunsilk Mega Miss North East 2018, has been selected as the state winner of fbb Femina Miss India.

Currently in its 17th year, Mega Miss North East is the biggest beauty pageant of northeast India, conceptualized by leading fashion entrepreneur Abhijit Singha, and produced by Mega Entertainment. Speaking about Jyotismita’s selection to Femina Miss India, Abhijit said, “Jyotishmita is extremely hard working, and we have seen her blossom as a professional since she was crowned Sunsilk Mega Miss North East. We are sure her talent and hard work will take her places. Mega Entertainment feels privileged to have been a part of her journey.”

Mega Entertainment was conceptualized with a mission to nurture and promote the immense talent pool of northeast, mentor the talents and help establish them in the national and global modeling industry. As Abhijit Singha says, “Our responsibility does not culminate with mere crowning of the winners. Our actual mission is to give our winners an international platform from where their dreams can take flight.”
