With the tasty mangoes now available in the markets, Guwahati’s favourite Punjabi cuisine restaurant Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba is hosting a Mango-ficent Food Festival from May 15.

The famous restaurant situated on GS Road in Christian Basti is hosting the festival marking the importance of the king of fruits during the summer season.

The special mango-ficent menu includes thirst-quenchers like mouth-watering Mango Lassi and with desserts like Mango Phirni. The flavour of raw mango is delectable with the Mango Malai Tikka.

“We at Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba believe in offering a fresh new feel to our menu depending on the season. Mangoes hold a very important emotional connect with us and to celebrate the season of mangoes, the Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba is hosting the Mango-ficent Food Festival,” said Tapan Sinha, COO at Zing Restaurants Pvt Ltd. He added that the chef at Rang De Basanti Urban Dhaba came up with several special dishes using the king of fruits. Machi Aam Sorshe is one such addition to the special menu.

The restaurant is offering both vegetarians and non-vegetarian options. Right from the starters to main course to desserts, the foodies will have an array to choose from and satisfy the tantalizing taste buds. The festival menu is available for lunch and dinner.

Mango lassi – The News Mill

Non-vegetarians can try the Mango Malai Tikka and Andhra-style Mango Chicken Curry, while vegetarians can savour Khatta Paneer Keri and Himsagar Seekh Kebab.

Since it’s opening in Guwahati, Rang De Basanti has attracted the attention of the food lovers in the city. It is a modern take on the traditional concept of dhabas, giving unique ambiance, prompt service and delicious North Indian food. The restaurant has been rated for its hygiene by a reputed audit agency.
