At least three people were killed and 35 others injured in a road accident in Assam’s Karimganj district on July 24.

The incident happened while two passenger travellers were allegedly competing with each other. According to the reports, both vehicles were speeding up, overtaking one another when nearby the Bangha bazaar area in Karimganj town, one of the two vehicles lost its control and collided with the other and both vehicles rolled down to a roadside pond.

The fatal accident was captured by the CCTV cameras installed in nearby buildings.

At least three people died and 35 others were injured in the accident.

The injured persons were rushed to Karimganj civil hospital.
