Fathers of two tribal girls, Balyajoy and Shasanjoy from Pancharatan village under Gandacharra police station in the bordering subdivision, lodged a complaint against one Jiten of Boalkhali village under neighbouring Raisyabari police station.

According to the complaint, Jiten married the daughter of Balyajoy identified as Dahapati Tripura (23), recently.

He took her along with the daughter of Shasanjoy promising her a job in Delhi.

The trio left Tripura on June 29. Both Dahapati and the daughter of Shasanjoy were students of local schools.

On July 18, the daughter of Shasanjoy informed her parents over telephone from Delhi that Jiten sold both the girls in Delhi, following which a complaint was lodged.
