Sunsilk Mega Miss North East 2019 winners

Meghalaya girl Tanvi R Marak, Rajeswari Chakraborty from Sikkim and Langpoklakpam Melody from Manipur were crowned Sunsilk Mega Miss North East 2019 at a glittering grand finale at the ITA Cultural Complex in Machkhowa, Guwahati on August 9.

Northeast India’s leading beauty pageant organizer, Mega Entertainment, hosted the grand finale of the 17th Sunsilk Mega Miss North East on Friday.

Shillong girl Tanvi R Marak, who recently cleared her medical entrance test, was crowned one of the winners of Sunsilk Mega Miss North East, 2019. She was crowned by reigning Sunsilk Mega Miss North East 2018, Mariam Longri, in front of a packed auditorium.

Gangtok’s Rajeswari Chakraborty, a graduation student, was also crowned the winner of Sunsilk Mega Miss North East, 2019 crown. Last year’s winner Tsurila crowned the beauty pageant winner from Gangtok.

Langpoklakpam Melody from Imphal, who is pursuing Bachelors in Education, was crowned by last year’s winner Jyotismita Baruah.

The 17th edition of Sunsilk Mega Miss North East was supported by Sunsilk, Radisson Blu, Vodafone, Sony Alpha and Eyetex Dazller.

The finalists were chosen through a series of auditions held in Itanagar, Tezpur, Kokrajhar, Agartala, Shillong, Imphal and Guwahati. Through these auditions, the pageant organizers shortlisted 50 women who vied for the coveted title of Sunsilk Mega Miss North East.

The contestants went through a strict pre-judging process during their training and grooming sessions where they were judged on their poise, carriage, intelligence and beauty. The event was conceptualized by fashion entrepreneur Abhijit Singha and was produced by Mega Entertainment.
