Indian cricket team will start their New Year with a T20 series against Sri Lanka with the first match of the series to be played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on January 5. Tickets for the India vs Sri Lanka T20 International are now available online through BookMyShow.com, stated a release from the Assam Cricket Association (ACA).

ACA informed that the tickets are priced between Rs 1500 and Rs 5500 whereas for the students, the West Stand Second Floor will cost Rs 300. The sale began from 8am on December 25. “There will be no offline sale of tickets. The hard copies of the tickets for the online purchaser will be available at Nehru Stadium on B Borooah Road from January 1,” the ACA release stated.

A fit-again Jasprit Bumrah will lead India’s pace attack while Vice-Captain Rohit Sharma and pacer Mohammed Shami were rested for the Sri Lanka series. Senior opener Shikhar Dhawan is back in the mix as he found his way to the squad which was announced on December 23. Virat Kohli will lead the team. There was no word from the selectors on the availability of MS Dhoni.

Bumrah was out of action for a long time due to an injury while Dhawan, who had a deep gash on his knee which required 25 stitches, has also made a comeback.

On the availability of all-rounder Hardik Pandey, Chief Selector MSK Prasad said they would test him in the third week of January for a possible comeback in the series against New Zealand from January 24.

  • North Stand Top Floor – Rs 2200
  • North Stand Second Floor – Rs 4400
  • North Stand Ground Floor – Rs 3850
  • South Stand Top Floor – Rs 2200

  • South Stand Ground Floor – Rs 3850

“It is also informed that one person can purchase a maximum of 6 tickets,” the release added.

After securing a series win against Windies in the limited-overs format, the Men In Blue will kick-off the proceedings in Guwahati against Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series. The second and the third T20Is will be played on January 7 and 10 respectively.

India will then take on Australia in a three-match ODI series against Australia. The first ODI will be played on January 14 in Mumbai. The remaining two matches will be played on January 17 and 19.
