Lok Sabha member from Tura in Meghalaya, Agatha Sangma, has pledged Rs 1 crore from her MP Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) fund to fight against COVID-19 in Meghalaya.

“Hon’ble Meghalaya MP Smt Agatha Sangma has consented the release of Rs 1 crore from MPLADS due for release by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) during the financial year 2020-21 to the central govt pool towards prevention and control of #COVID2019India,” Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma tweeted.

He also urged all to extend financial support to help the needy during the 21-day lockdown and generously contribute towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

“Let’s all stand united to champion #COVID2019 and help one another especially during the #21daylockdown. We are #StrongerTogether,” Sangma tweeted.

Appealing the people to donate, Sangma said people can donate online through http://megcmrf.gov.in
