Manipur government has taken up special measures as a precautionary measure over the outbreak of Corona.
Fogging was done in various places especially market areas.
All women’s markets have been closed down for five days starting from March 21.
The main referral hospital JNIMS stopped all normal operations from today. OPD services were also reduced. In hospitals, only an attendant was allowed for a patient.
Chief Secretary Suresh Babu chaired a meeting on March 21 and it was decided that entry of all visitors into the Manipur Secretariat including all Blocks, Wings and Buildings both in the South and North Block as well as Chief Minister’s Secretariat will be barred with immediate effect and until further orders.
This restriction shall not apply to the officials and staffs posted in the Manipur Secretariat or to the officials and staff of the Government who are required to enter the Manipur Secretariat for official purposes.
Governor Najma Heptulla and Chief Minister N Biren Singh have also appealed to support the Janta Curfew on March 22.
