A total of 134 samples have been collected in Arunachal Pradesh for COVID-19 testing. This includes 28 samples which were collected on April 4.

As per a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services on April 4, out of 134 samples collected, 105 tested negative, one positive and the results of 28 are awaited.

Arunachal Pradesh on April 2 registered first case of Novel Coronavirus, after a 31-year-old person who had participated in Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi tested positive for COVID-19.

The bulletin further informed that 25 samples connected to Nizamuddin Markaz, which were sent for laboratory testing, tested negative.

Informing the same, Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a tweet wrote, “Arunachal Pradesh COVID-19 test update as on 4th April. Total samples collected: 134, 105 negative case, 1 positive case, results awaited 28.”

Meanwhile, in another tweet, the CM announced that the Indian Medical Association Arunachal chapter in collaboration with state government is providing tele-medication helpline for those who require medical consultation during the lockdown period. The helpline numbers issued by the CM are 0360-2292774 and 8010340000. The number will be available for tele-medication from 9am to 5pm.
