Arunachal Pradesh reported its first COVID-19 positive case on April 2 when a person from Tezu in Lohit district was tested positive.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu on April 2 tweeted that the “Non Arunachalee” person has participated in the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz.
The 31-year-old patient is asymptomatic and has been kept in isolation, Khandu added.

With this case, the total number of COVID-19 patients in Northeast India rose to 20 with maximum 16 cases in Assam, two in Manipur and one each in Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
