Coronavirus 2 – The News Mill

The number of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam went up to 26 on April 4.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on April 4 late night confirmed the 26th case. A patient in Cachar district of the state tested positive for Novel Coronavirus.

Earlier in the day, a positive case of Novel Coronavirus was detected in North Lakhimpur district.

Both the cases have links to the religious congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi last month.

Except the lone case from Guwahati in Kamrup Metro district, all other 25 cases in the state have links with the Tablighi Jamaat conference at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi in March.
