Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on April 26, Assam Industry and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary said, “We are aware that economy has been affected. The chief minister will be consulting economic experts to revive the economy.”

He added that the MSME sector has induced major loss during the lockdown and the department was preparing a note on means to revive it.

“The chief minister has asked departments like Agriculture and Veterinary, which have been more affected, to work on plans to mitigate the losses,” Patowary added.
