Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh at 12:30 am on April 2 tweeted that one more case of COVID-19 was detected in the state.
Singh added that the person had attended the religious conglomeration at Nizamuddin in Delhi.
He further said that a few people are at quarantine centres and are under observation.

“A male patient, aged about 65 years from Lilong has been tested positive for COVID-19. He is now undergoing treatment in RIMS Hospital, Imphal. He has history of attending the religious conference at Nizamuddin, New Delhi,” a government release stated.
“Appropriate containment measures and surveillance activities in the patient’s locality have been taken up promptly,” it added.
The fresh case takes the COVID-19 positive tally to 2 in Manipur. Earlier, a student with travel history to UK was found positive in the state. She is recovering at Imphal.
