At least 6 family members and ‘helpers’ of the first COVID-19 patient of Meghalaya, tested positive on April 15.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on April 15 tweeted that of the 68 tested, 6 are confirmed COVID-19 positive while 6 others are retested.
“Of the 68 tested so far, 6 have come out positive who are all family members & helpers of the first #Covid19 positive case. 6 other cases are being retested. All the rest of the cases are negative,” the chief minister informed.
Early on April 15, the first COVID-19 patient – a doctor working in Shillong – died of the disease.
