Nagaland government on May 18 informed that a total of 18,255 citizens of the state, who are stranded in different parts of the country, have filled up the Returnees Declaration Forms on their dedicated portal.
An official release stated that 1,471 persons have voluntarily opted for staying back outside the state and avail a one-time assistance of Rs 10,000.
Nagaland Principal Secretary for Home, Abhijit Sinha, informed that 47 stranded citizens arrived in Dimapur on May 17 in the evening by a special train which was running between New Delhi and Dibrugarh. Of the 47, one person from Assam left in a private vehicle and three buses with 45 persons left for Arunachal Pradesh from the station.
He also informed that a total of 1,382 people, from different parts of the country, have arrived Nagaland till May 17.
