Assam on May 25 morning reported 35 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total tally in the state well past 400.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that 35 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the state. Golaghat reported a highest of 18 cases while six cases were detected from Kokrajhar quarantine centre. Karimganj reported five case, Tinsukia and Sivasagar reported two cases each. Jorhat and Dhemaji also reported one case each.

“35 new cases of #COVID19+ confirmed. 18 Golaghat, 6 Kokrajhar quarantine centre, 5 karimganj, 2 Tinsukia, 2 Sivasagar, 1 Jorhat, 1 Dhemaji,” the minister tweeted.

With these, the total number of cases in the state went up to 427 while there are presently 363 active cases. As many as 57 patients recovered from the disease and were released from the hospitals while the state recorded four deaths related to COVID-19.
