Arunachal Pradesh on May 30 reported another case of COVID-19 from the state.

According to the Health department bulletin, the person was detected positive from Upper Siang district.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu on May 31 informed that the new patient is asymptomatic and his condition is normal. “A separate positive asymptomatic case has been detected, his condition is normal. The active positive now is 3,” the chief minister informed.

Reports said that the person, a 12-year-old student returned from Dehradun recently.

This is the third case within a span of one week.

So far, Arunachal Pradesh reported four COVID-19 cases out of which, the first patient, who was detected positive from Lohit district, recovered from the disease and was released from the hospital in Tezu.

Meanwhile, the state health department informed that a batch of 260 swab samples will be sent to Delhi for testing on May 31. The state government had earlier informed that a few of the samples will be outsourced for testing to clear the backlog.
