Assam reports 15 new COVID-19 cases; tally now 185

Fifteen new COVID-19 cases were reported in Assam late evening on May 20 taking the total number of cases in the state to 185.

Of the new case, as many as 14 were detected from those who were staying at the Sarusajai quarantine centre in Guwahati.

One positive case was detected from Karimganj.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the new cases and said that everyone should be “extra careful”.

With the detection of the new cases, the number of active cases went up to 130 in the state while 48 patients were released after they recovered from the disease. The state recorded four deaths while three patients migrated to other states.
