Covid-19 tally in Manipur increases to 55

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Manipur increased to 55 on May 28 with the detection of 11 new cases in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases in the state is now 50.

In the last 24 hours, 11 positive cases were confirmed in the VRDLs of RIMS and JNIMS. Among the positive cases include nine males and two females. Seven cases were confirmed at RIMS while four were confirmed at JNIMS.

The patients were being taken to COVID-19 Care facilities at RIMS and JNIMS. Their conditions were stable.

A person who was admitted in the COVID-19 Care facility of JNIMS was found free from the virus on May 27 and was discharged on May 28. The total number of recovered cases has increased to 5 as four had already been declared negative according to Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Additional Director and Spokesperson Health department, Manipur.
