Meghalaya Police on May 20 filed an FIR against a website ‘Exams Daily’ for publishing fake information.
On May 18 the website had published information in its website that the state police was going to conduct exams for various posts.
Assistant Inspector General of Police, Gabriel K Iangrai said the department has not issued any official communication regarding the conduct of exams against the existing vacancies.
“This is the general information for the Candidates, Meghalaya Police Board has going to conduct the written examination to fill up the Constable, Sub-Inspector & Other post. The Exam will be held on May 2020. The Written Examination Admit Card will be released soon on the official website. Candidates may check the Admit Card & Exam Date Details in our website,” the website had published.
