UK records highest daily COVID-related death toll since March

Three persons were tested COVID-19 positive in Nagaland on May 25. Among the positive patients, two belongs to Dimapur while the third person is from Kohima.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio confirmed the news and informed that contact tracing and containment measures are being implemented.

“Unfortunately, 2 persons in Dimapur and 1 in Kohima have been tested positive for #COVID-19. Please do not panic. We need to handle it with utmost care and responsibility. Necessary action of contact tracing & containment measures are being taken and situation closely monitored,” he tweeted.

The trio had recently returned to the state from Chennai. Informing this, Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that the trio took a Shramik Special train from Chennai and reached Nagaland. “First positive case reported in Nagaland. Three returnees from Chennai (Sharamik Express) tested positive for COVID-19. They are undergoing treatment at DHD and Chedema, Kohima respectively, their condition is stable & all contact tracing are in progress,” he tweeted.

Earlier, a person from Dimapur was tested COVID-19 positive in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital after he was referred to the Guwahati hospital by a private nursing home in the Nagaland town.
