The COVID-19 tally in Assam continued to increase as six new cases were detected on May 24, pushing the total tally of cases to 352.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed through Twitter that two cases have been reported from Chirang district, with both patients at Tezpur quarantine centre.

Two other are from Jorhat, with travel history to Chennai.

Later towards the evening, two persons were tested positive from Sarusajai quarantine centre. One patient each belonged to Nagaon and Hojai.

Out 352 cases, 57 have recovered and four have died so far. Three patients migrated to other states.
