Tripura on May 16 reported 11 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total count to 166.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb informed that of the 11 new patients, seven belonged to the 86th Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) while four others were civilians tested positive at Churaibari gate.
The civilians include two drivers from other states and two people who returned from Guwahati.
Deb further informed that 625 samples were tested since May 15 and all the positive patients are under proper medical care.
625 samples have been tested for #COVID19 and among them 11 persons found #COVID19 POSITIVE.7 people from 86-Bn BSF & 4 civilian from Churaibari Gate ( 2 driver from other state, 2 people returned from Guwahati ).
All the POSITIVE patients are under proper medical care.
