Fifteen NDRF personnel were tested COVID-19 positive in Arunachal Pradesh.

A bulletin issued by the state health department on June 21 stated that 12 National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel were tested positive for the disease on June 19 while three others were tested positive on June 21.

The daily health bulletin also mentioned that four new COVID-19 cases were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex on June 21. Two of the positive persons have returned to the state from Assam while one each came from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

The patients were shifted to COVID Care Centre.

The bulletin stated that all the positive cases were detected from facility quarantine and all the patients are asymptomatic.

On June 21, six patients were released from the hospitals in the state after they recovered from the disease and twice tested negative for the virus. Four patients recovered in East Siang district while two were from Itanagar Capital Complex.

With the detection of the new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state went up to 139 while there were 118 active cases as on June 21. Changlang district in eastern Arunachal had a maximum of 68 positive cases. As many as 21 patients recovered from the disease in the state and were released from the hospitals.
