Arunachal reports 5th COVID-19 case

Arunachal Pradesh reported one more COVID-19 positive case on June 1. The 26-year-old male patient was detected COVID-19 positive from Namsai district.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu informed that the new patient is asymptomatic. The patient was at a quarantine facility and has now been shifted to COVID Care Centre. “His condition is normal,” Khandu tweeted.

Reports said that patient had recently returned from Chennai.

With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has climbed to five.

While there are now four active cases in the state, the first patient was released from the hospital in Tezu after he recovered from the disease.

Khandu further informed that the state has collected 8282 samples for testing of which 7015 have come negative. Results of 1262 tests are still awaited.
