COVID-19 cases reach 121 in Manipur

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases has increased to 121 in Manipur with 83 of them active.

On June 3 night, 13 persons, including six females, were confirmed as COVID-19 positive at the VRDL of JNIMS. They were from Bishnupur, Chandel, Churachandpur, Kangpokpi, Tamenglong and Tengnoupal districts.

Those from Bishnupur and Kangpokpi were returnees from Mumbai. The persons from Chandel and Tamenglong were returnees from Delhi. The persons from Tengnoupal were Pune returnees. The COVID-19 positive from Churachandpur is a Chennai returnee while other one is a nurse with no travel history.

All were shifted to the COVID Care Facility at JNIMS. Their conditions were stable. All necessary precautionary measures such as containment and contact tracing are in place, according to Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Additional Director & Spokesperson Health department, Manipur.
