COVID-19 cases reach 921 in Manipur

The total numbers of COVID-19 cases in Manipur increased to 921 on June 23.

In the last 24 hours, the state recorded 23 fresh cases of COVID-19.

With the detection of the fresh cases, the number of active cases in the state stands at 663 while 258 others recovered from the disease.

Among the fresh cases were five males and 18 females. Seven were tested at the VRDLs of RIMS and 16 at JNIMS.

Two cases were reported from Chandel, one from Churachandpur, six from Imphal West, one from Kakching, two from Kangpokpi and 11 from Senapati districts.

Officials said that all the patients were returnees from other states. They were being shifted to the COVID Care Facilities.

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place.

On June 23, eight persons were discharged from COVID Care Centres after their two consecutive tests came negative for COVID-19.
