The total number of COVID-19 cases in Manipur has increased to 500 while the number of active cases reached 341 on June 16.

The total number of recovered cases was 159 in the state.

In the last 24 hours, 10 persons including three males and seven females were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive.

The VRDLs of RIMS found four positive cases while JNIMS detected six people positive.

Six cases belong to Senapati district and four cases were from Imphal West district.

They were all returnees from other states. They were being shifted to the COVID Care Facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, officials said.
