Nagaland on June 7 reported six fresh cases of COVID-19 taking the overall tally in the state to 118 cases.
State Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that among the 30 recently tested samples, 6 came out positive for COVID-19. He informed that all the cases are from Dimapur quarantine centres.
With the detection of these cases, Nagaland now has 110 active cases. As many as eight patients were released from the hospital after they recovered from the disease.
The Northeast state has seen a rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 cases after the nationwide lockdown was eased to allow people to travel between states. Most of the COVID-19 patients detected in Nagaland have travelled from other states.
