Two held for drug trafficking in Itanagar

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Arunachal Pradesh Police has arrested two person in connection with a case related to drug trafficking in the capital region, a senior police official said on June 22.

SIT SP Navdeep Singh Brar informed that Suraj Kumar Singh and Raja Brahma were involved in transportation of contraband drugs from Guwahati to Itanagar, and were part of the drug racket busted last month by the SIT team.

The vehicle used by them for the transportation of drugs was seized, the senior police official said.

Brar further said the entire money used for purchase of drugs has been freezed.

Total seven people, including two IRBn personnel, have been arrested in this drug trafficking case, he informed.
